Sweetie Update

She is doing awesome! I think this stronger anti biotic is making ALL the difference. Yesterday she was up and walking around all day. I took the Elizabethan Collar off and she didn't try to lick her wound much. That is good, because it means she isn't thinking about it, which means it isn't bothering her. Yay! Her brother, Jack, came around yesterday looking for some food and some company. They are definately lonely without each other. So I put Sweetie's collar on (not the Elizabethan collar, jsut her regular one) and tied her to the porch. (She is not supposed to be in grass, sand, gravel, ect.) Then I put a plate of food outside and we all sat on the porch. Jack and Sweetie were pretty happy to be near each other again- it was pretty cute. All the swelling in her back foot has gone down. She is eating regularly, going everywhere she can, and even playing! We have been so concerned about her being depressed because all she did was lay around. But ever since she started on this new medicine, it's a 180 degree change. She follows me around the house while I clean, stays with me in the kitchen while I cook, lays on our laps when we are on the computers. It's amazing to see the improvement in her. And Selo has totally fallen in love with her. He decided for sure that we would be keeping her, so I asked him if he wanted to give her a new, more appropriate, permanent name. He said no, her name fit her perfectly and he saw no reason to change it lol Her next appointment is on Friday. The doctor is hoping to be able to remove the Elizabethan collar for good, and finish up the last of the anti biotics (geez that word is tough to type!). I will update again after the Friday appointment. Thanks everyone, for your support in this. I know it's a funny situation, but so many people have told me they care and support us in this. I want you all to know how much it means to us. Thank you!
