Happy Birthday Belle

I love ya, Chicka.

Belle has been a friend of mine for several years now. She is the leader of Windshire (well, was, before she started dedicating all her time to planning her wedding to Vin he he). Belle is strong, determined, and a great leader. She would do anything for anyone.

Have a great birthday Sweetie. You deserve it!

Great Day

Today has been a really good day. Selo and I slept in, and then laid around in bed for a while after we woke up. We talked and snuggled and spent some time just being together. Once we got up, we went to the store and picked up his meds and a few groceries. Came home, had some lunch, and then curled up on the couch together and watched Pixar Short Films. So cute! We layed on the couch and I fell asleep. Woke up and he was playing Pixel Junk. Love that game. After my little nap, I got up and got on Selo's pc to work on some coding. Just like before, the more I do it the more I love it. I followed a tutorial, and started designing what I want my new blog to look like. No details about it, but I am excited. I made the basics of the page. It looks great! I even started putting the info in my HTML blog again. It's all about what I am learning and the progress. Helps me out a lot to write about it. Now that I have decided who I am going to host with, I need to know what to do to get it done. Selo actually got in game today. He is in right now. It's been six or eight weeks since he has actually played. He got in for one night about a month ago, and that's it. It is nice to see him back in game, and talking with his friends.

It's been a good day. Relaxing and productive. How's that? lol

Hope everyone else out there is having a good weekend as well. Have a great Sunday!

No More FFXI?

I think I might quit. I haven't played in over a month. I'm not really interested in playing. And I definitely haven't had time lately. With all that in mind, wouldn't it be a better idea to just cancel my account?

Snow, Snow, Snow

We have about five inches of snow here. I love it when it first snows and everything is white. It's peaceful. It sucked trying to shovel the driveway though. Just call me SuperWoman!

I increased our Netflix account today. I went from the one at a time unlimited to two at a time unlimited. I am loving Netflix more and more.

Rock Band rules. I am starting to think the medium level is too easy. But then again, I like base better that main, so that might have something to do with it.

I had someone try to sell me travel insurance. Is there even really a purpose to it? Well, I suppose so, if it can be sold. But do we look like people that will be doing much traveling? Have you heard me whine about our finances?

I think we are staticking tonight. I hope so anyway. I haven't been in game in about six weeks. I am actually looking forward to it. I hope we get tons and tons of levels and I can be 75 fast. I am excited!

75 vs LS

So what are the chances I can get to lvl 75 without needing a LS? I have a static I am joining. Do I really need Sky?

Tough question. Because with Sky, comes a LS. And with a LS, comes drama. It's like being part of a Swiss Army- without the peace.

And right now, the drama going on in one certain LS is *so* not what I want to get involved in. It's ugly now, and things haven't even started yet.

What is My Problem?

I sliced my thumb open today.

I was making breakfast, and reached into a cabinet to get something. Got my finger stuck, and it sliced the back of my thumb open. From my nail half way to my knuckle. Ripped the skin right off.

What the heck is my problem? Am I accident prone all of a sudden? Have I been cursed? Did I do something bad and karma is making me pay?

Oh well. It stopped bleeding after a while and I don't need stitches. I should be counting my blessings it isn't any worse, right?

Selo went yesterday and cleaned out our car. I didn't know about that until I got home, but I probably would have cried had I been the one to do it.

I found a cool new blog. A sweet chick that I have a lot in common with. It's amazing the people I meet through blogs. Anyway, I look forward to getting to know you, Katie.

Changed the layout and colors on my blog. I like this layout better, and the change is nice. I'll probably change it more often, now that I know how.

Haven't played FFXI for several weeks. Achi is doing better, and Selo says the static is up to my level. I plan on playing with them from now on. It will be nice to finally have a job to 75.

I love the smell of my MIL's air freshener/ air cleaner thing. It smells good. I just wish it would quit spraying me. I swear the thing targets me as I walk buy.

Haven't done much else this week. . . . Haven't really had time or energy. I think my week has been exciting enough. I hope things are going better- a lot better!!!- for everyone else out there.

A Few Random Updates

The Lump. It is smaller today than it was yesterday. Not as small as I'd hoped though- meaning it's not gone. I called my mom and my biological dad, and played twenty questions. Mom confirmed what I remembered about her (just her right one, though) having a milk sack (what should I call it?) under her arm while she was pregnant. She had to have it drained in both of her latest pregnancies- which just to clarify any weirdness, were 22 and 19 years ago. To this day, it is still tender under there. So that helped to calm me a little. My dad, on the other hand, informed me that my family DOES have an incident of breast cancer. My grandmother's (his mom's) sister died of breast cancer. She (my grandma) is on a cruise in the Carribean right now, otherwise I would have called her right then, too.
I'm not quite as scared now. I feel better about it. I have this feeling that I need to watch it closely, and go in if anything changes- but not to panic or to worry right now. Just watch and wait.

In kiddin (that's what Selo calls his girls) news, he got a package today. From his girls. Lizz obviously sent it, but Selo said his girls put it together. It had a picture in a frame of both of them, and tons of candy. It was so nice to see him open it and be so happy about it. How cute is that?

In truck news. I got in touch with Brother Hopkinson today. He said he would be willing to sell our truck for us. I asked if he wanted me to forward him the twenty emails of people I have interested, or email them and give them his phone number, or if he wanted to find a time he would just go out there and they could come by to see it. I look forward to getting his response tomorrow.

In photo news. I emailed the important files (resumes) to my gmail account, so that I have an updated copy in there. I am making progress backing up all my photos. I have all the folders I need to get the ones one this laptop onto the site. Once that is done, I will do Selo's laptop, and then Selo's desktop. I know, I have photos everywhere. BUT I have the process started, I know how it is going to work, and I can do it. I am still overwhelmed, but at least I have a plan now.

In FFXI news. I am not happy. I maybe should put this part behind a password, but I don't really care right now. I think Selo is getting jipped. He wanted several months ago to start a Dynamis shell. He created the shell, had people to join, and was going to fund it out of his own pocket. But got shut down. Well now, *the leaders* have decided they want to take over Selo's idea. They want Dynamis. So they told him he was in charge. But then, they decided they were changing everything about it. He is still supposed to run it, but they created a whole new shell- going with a completely different name and color- even after saying it would remain the same because that's what the ls wanted, changed the rules, changed the leadership, and changed the order of receiving. Selo has been trying to calm me down about this, but I am ticked. To me, it seems purely like a control issue on their part. Their decisions seem selfish and ridicules. Not beneficial to the ls AT ALL. But I should probably stop, because I could go off on this for an hour. * has been edited*

Selo and I went to one of those time share things. We got the overnight stay and we will be going to Anniversary Inn. We also filled out two pages of extra paperwork, so we get two free nights in any of their resorts. We are thinking about Las Vegas hotel reservations.

I'm doing awsome in RockBand. I have my little chick just the way I want her. Cute shirt, cute jeans, and rocker boots. And I bought the guitar I wanted this weekend, too. I need to take a picture of her and post it on here. I am going through the songs like they are nothing. I have advanced to medium now, and that's only because I refuse to play on Hard yet. Selo has been kicking butt playing on Expert, and practically aces the Hard. I have never done so well on a game. I'm loving every minute of it.

Thoughts on 2007

It has been a busy and emotional year for Hubby and I. I was just on the phone a few minutes ago talking to a friend about how difficult this year has been, and it made me realize how much we have been through.

January- Vacation to Myrtle Beach. Hubby's first time on the beach, and first real vacation (he said that!). This is where he proposed to me <3

February- Hubby's birthday. His first birthday away from all of his family. We had a big party for him to make sure he knew there were still plenty of people around that cared for him. My schedule at work changed. Hubby's youngest daughter had a seizure. (She is fine. Her mom took good care of her.) We start feeding the stray cat at Hubby's home, hoping to catch her.

March- WE GOT MARRIED!!! We got our endowments the same day we were married. Married in Washington DC, reception in Wilkes, temple trip and reception in Utah. Hubby started his new job the week after we got married, and we spent the week in Florida (paid for by the company!) so he could "train".

April- Hubby's youngest daughter's birthday. She turned four. Hubby's ex-wife got married. (Congrats to them!) We find out the cat is pregnant.

May- My schedule at work changed, again. The cat has her kittens. We fall in love with every one of them.

June- I left Corp America to become a full time caregiver. What a change! We moved into the lower part of a house, and I cared for the elderly couple upstairs. I started my blog.

July- Still adjusting to one income. Child support AND insurance (for us and Hubby's girls) began being withheld from Hubby's paycheck. Both are needed, both are huge. We pull the belt a little tighter. Okay, a lot.

August- My grandmother passes away at 90-something years old. We fly to California. Hubby's oldest daughter starts first grade. My Uncle Dachie passes away.

September- My sister has her first baby and my first nephew. Three days later, Hubby's oldest daughter has her birthday- she turned seven. We find homes for the Mama kitty, and three of her five babies.

October- I had my birthday- I turned 25. We find out Hubby's dad is sick, and book him a flight for the next morning to fly to Utah. Two hours later, the next call is to tell us he passed away. We book my flight out there as well.

November- Attend the funeral for Hubby's sad. Very very hard time. Hubby ends up in the hospital. The doctors can't find what is wrong, and send him home. We are waiting for the doctor to give approval for Hubby to travel so we can return to our own home, and back to our lives. It finally comes, and we go home. Even though my grades were still through the roof and I was caught up (or ahead!) in all my classes, I had missed to many days of school and the policy stated I was to be removed. I voluntarily withdrew to avoid any bad marks. Hubby and I left a few days later for our long awaited "honeymoon" and vacation of the year. We went to California with a bunch of our friends and went to FFXI FanFest 2007. It was an absolute blast. Then we went back to Utah for our planned Thanksgiving trip.

December- Many, many changes. I can't even list them all yet. But Christmas was wonderful. We had a great time celebrating our first Christmas as a married couple.

I am amazed at this list! I try to take things one day at a time, but looking back at this helps me to understand why sometimes I just can handle it all at once. I'll tell you this though, I am so glad I have my husband. He has been an amazing strength to me through everything, and I am glad to be there for him when he needs me, too. We still have some communication issues we are smoothing out, but he is amazing. We have a commitment to stand by each other through everything, and thinking back on just our first year of marriage, we are doing just that.

Busy Bee

Wow, I didn't realize it had been a couple of days since I had written. I've been so busy I haven't even thought about my blog. (But I have thought about my blogging friends a lot!) And this week is going to be even busier. I am pretty sure that next week will be busier than this week, too.

I saw some more of my family this weekend. It was nice. I sure miss the ones that are on the other side of the country. This Christmas will be interesting.

I haven't played much FFXI lately. You probably could have guessed, because I haven't blogged about it. I really get into when I do play, but I hardly think about it when I don't. My friend, Lavinia, gave me a ten day trial to WoW. *gasp* Yes, I accepted. *gasp* But I haven't tried it yet. I barely play the one I have, lol I'm not sure I want another one yet. I am thinking about trying the one my sister, Kendra, plays though. It's called Maple something-or-other. She says she has played it for a long time, she really likes it, and there's no cost. It's worth looking into at least.

I have almost all of my Christmas cards finished. I decided that instead of sending out a stack of 150 cards every year, I am limiting our Christmas cards to 25. They will go to our family, and very close friends. For me, it keeps the spirit of Christmas stronger if I don't spend so much time, money, and pain (in my hand!) on stuff like that. I would rather spend time with them.

Not much to update on the kitties either, right now. Piper ran away from my step-mom's the last time she was there. She hasn't come back, but they still see her around. I am hoping the little snob will come to me when I am there this weekend and let me catch her. She's going to be a sad little kitty if she doesn't. The kittens are growing and adorable- as usual.

Still working on selling the stupid truck. I am so sick of the darn thing I am ready to donate it. And if it's not gone by the end of the year, I will donate it.

Selo's car still isn't fixed. He has been trying to get the part for over a week, but no one seems to have it. What a joke!

I have proudly gained ten whole pounds since Selo and I got married. I am now a whopping 115. And Selo has lost some weight. I was looking through our wedding pictures the other day, and I was surprised to see how much weight he has lost. I always think he looks great though. I have such a hot and sexy husband ;)

I think I will go catch up on some blogs now. I have noticed that I usually read a blog only once a week or every other, but I will read and comment on everything that I hadn't read yet. I like that strategy, because I get so much more out of it!

Here is a nice referral for anyone looking for stair lifts. I hope you have a wonderful night!

Congrats Dae and Ego!!!

I just got the best message. My cute friend Daeinera is getting married! I'm so happy for her! She and Egoman are hoping for a December wedding. How romantic is that? I just love FFXI weddings. And this one will be a full GTM LS event.

Congrats Dae!

Sky Night. . . Again

And I don't think I'm going. . . again. I usually go, on time and the whole time. However, since I got bored with BLM, and I have kind of decided to stick with BRD now, I don't see a reason to really go to Sky on BLM. I'm sure I will go back to BLM later, just not now. And I appreciate the gear that I have been given for my BLM. But BRD seems more fun right now, and it's a lot (A LOT!!!) easier to get a party with BRD. So tonight, I am going to lvl my BRD. Besides, the faster I get my BRD lvled, the faster I can go to Sky on my BRD. That's win/win, right?

The Kinda Static

Well I gained two more levels on my Bard last night. I partied with Selo and Achi, and Vel once he got there. The only magic in the party was me, and I was / whm. It was kinda cool to see that parties don't need mp. Sad for my mages, but cool in a grander scheme of things type way. But it was cool to party with the people I will be staticking with. Vel, you better watch it, because if you keep putting loads of pressure on me, I'm going to give up again and quit BRD. I don't work well under pressure. And I see no reason to play a game when there is no fun in it anymore. Thanks for the encouragement, but let's chill it out just a bit, please? I was pulling last night, too. That was a mostly new experience for me. It wasn't too difficult though. Now, maybe I was just pulling in an easy area, but I never did get agroed by anything else, and I only got one link the whole time. I don't really know what people are complaining about. Anyway, we partied for about an hour and a half, and then my cold caught up with me again, and I had to quit. Selo took me back and we did the Mog House thing! It was so cool! My sweet husband. He knows what things matter to me. Even when they are cheesy <3

When I tried to sleep last night, I struggled. I tossed and turned all night long. Is it just because I am so sick? You'd think that by now I would be so exhausted I would just crash and stay that way. But no, I spend half the night awake. *sigh*

I think I might call my Grandpa Ronnie this week. I want to catch up with him, plus I could use his advice. People always like it when you call them for advice, ya know. Plus, Grandpa Ronnie always has really good, logical, and down to earth advice. It would be nice to get his opinion on our situation.

I'm off to find myself some food. I hope you have a wonderful rest of the day. /wave

Enough, Already -- and Ding BRD21

Make it stop. Please. Anybody.
My nose is my enemy this week. On one side, I am so stuffed up I can't breath. On the other side, I bleed every time I turn around. The air in UT is a lot dryer than the air in NC. So after being there for a few weeks, the veins in my nose got so dry, the just break. In five days, I've had five nosebleeds. Gross. I'm running out of dark colored T-shirts to wear. Plus, after this long, you'd think it would have quit be now.
I bought some Vasoline to heal the veins in my nose, and I have a humidifier pointed right at my head. I turned it on a few minutes ago so that when I go to bed, it's already prepped and ready. I also bought some of those "Extra soft tissues with lotion" to try and save what's left of my poor nose. It's red and puffy and peeling. Ew. I'm very disappointed with the "better" tissues. Not only are they not better, they are more scratchy than the bathroom tissue I have been using. Maybe next time I will skip the aloe and vitamin E tissues and go straight for the tissues with Vick's in them. And since I was there, I also grabbed two of the mini bottles of hand sanitizer for fifty cents to carry in my purse. No sense in spreading this misery around.
I did get some time in game today. I worked on clearing my mog house for a while. Sent a bunch of stuff to my mule, sold a bunch to vendor, and put some on the auction house. I partied on my bard. I only got two levels, though, because my party sucked. We had a full party wipe- including our two power levelers- right after I got my second lvl. Yes, I know, I know. There was a good note about the party though. We had two dancers and a scholar. I don't like galka dnc, but I don't mind it as much as I thought I would. As for sch, I didn't notice it enough in the party to make a decision one way or another. I'll study it more next time. My BRD is now 21, and I'll probably party more tomorrow. Vel says I have to get 20 lvls to catch up with them. Hahaha. Might actually be possible if they weren't partying at the same time. But I like BRD, so it's their loss ;)
All right, NyQuil is starting to kick in. I'm off to bed. Yes, it's only seven o'clock, but have you heard me try to speak lately. No? It's because I have no voice! Pile that on top of not being able to hear because my ears are clogged, and not being able to breath, and I'd say bedtime is exactly what I need at this hour. Maybe I'll add a picture of myself looking like this tomorrow. Then you can laugh at my misery.
I hope you have a wonderful Sunday evening. And stay nice and healthy.

(((I added a new label. Although I am neither healthy nor beautiful right now, I felt it fit. I'll be adding it to past posts if it's appropriate sometime later this week.)))

We Got It!!!

FINALLY! Selo went to Boone today, still in search of WoTG. And he finally found it. The game store in Boone had not only the PS2 one, but the PC one as well. It's about dang time. Too bad we had to go clear across the country to find it! So he bought one for the PS2, which we will be installing on our PS3, and one for the PC, which will be installed on both of our PCs. Then one code will go to Selo and one will go to Mini. Works out nicely, doesn't it? And yes, it is legal, and within SE's rules. I'm so excited!

*Grumble* and *Groan*

We still don't have the expansion yet. Hubby has gone all over town, and I have spent plenty of time on the phone. And don't even call us obsessed, because I don't want to hear it. I don't feel good. My head hurts and has been hazy all day, and my throat hurts and is swollen. Wasn't that nice of Hubby to give me his cold? lol I just hope he gets over it soon. Everyone is the LS has been talking about the expansion. Optimal has been bragging about having it already. Not that I am surprised. Leave to him. . . oh, nevermind. *If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all.* Achi actually went out and bought a 360 just so he could play it. He is updating right now, and then he is going to unlock dancer.
I think I'm going to go to bed early tonight. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, and we have a lot to do tomorrow.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!!

It's Here- Kind of

The expansion for FFXI is finally out. A very warm welcome to Wings of the Goddess. We have been looking forward to this one for quite some time now. In fact, this is a huge one. I wasn't sure if SE would be able to come up with any new jobs, they already have about everything covered. But to everyone's surprise and pleasure, they announced two more. Say hello to Dancer and Scholar. I can't wait to play them. I am more excited about dancer than scholar. Now if we could just FIND it anywhere! Selo reserved two copies, and when he went in to pick them up, the store told him they didn't have it. I've been calling everywhere, and Selo is out shopping with his Mom trying to find it. (Can I just say, Walmart has once again proven it's great intelligence in the world of retail. How does that store even stay in business???) We have just a few more minutes to keep looking. Hubby goes into the hospital in an hour and I would love to have it for him when he gets home. Wish me luck!

Scholar (sorry, I couldn't find a scholar video, I'll get one for you of myself when I finally get it)

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

This is a picture I took last weekend at the event. Any idea who these people are? They are famous. On the left is Indy and on the right is Tak. THE Tak. THIS Tak.
But what's with this picture? Look at what's in front of them. All that stuff on the table. Have a drink guys. I didn't even think about it when I took the picture. But when I was looking through the pics now, I bust up laughing. Also, look at the guy right behind them. I don't know if you can see his T-shirt or not, but it says, "Got Buffs?"
lol We really had a great weekend. I can't wait till next year.

Just wanted to let you know . . .

I will be updating y'all on what I can as I can today. We have a pretty busy day today. I will be on the computer on and off today, so I will do what I can.
We had a great time this weekend. It was awesome to meet Achi, Midnight, and Ulti as planned. We got to meet Tak, Sas, and Indy, who weren't expecting to be there, but made it anyway. Plus, we met a handful of other Midgar people as well.
We also got to go to church with my long time friend, Elise, and then out to lunch with her and her husband, Ryan. We had some good discussions with them.
I'm also going to get plenty of pics and lots of videos up for you as well. It might come in smaller bunches, though. I like to post as I make progress, so that I don't get overwhelmed.
