I went BACK to school today, to turn in all the financial aide paperwork. I sat and talked to the instructor for half an hour about whether it would be worth it or not. I was already rejected for aide once, and I don't understand how filling out the same paperwork with the same information on it will be different the second time. So she explained it to me, and after talking about it, I went ahead and did it. I submitted all the changes Hubby and I have had in our "status" and income since 2006. (Basically our income has dropped to one fourth of what it was last year.) Hopefully this time, I won't be rejected again. *sigh*
I finished the FACTS application last night, and gave the proof to the Business office today. The processed it, (gave me my parking permit,) and I went to the bookstore to get my books. they gave me two of my books, and then handed me an intro to Medical Assisting book. Mmm, no thanks. I guess when I register for classes, I was helped by the medical adviser, so I was put in an Orientation to Medical Assisting course. No, I didn't realize this- my class schedule simply said Orientation. I thought it was another college orientation course similar to the ACA. So as soon as that was pointed out to me, I talked to a counselor to see what I needed to do. We changed my major, and Monday I will drop the Orientation to MA class.
I am glad to have most of it done finally. It has been a long process just getting to this point. Does that mean things will get easier once I start classes? I hope so. But if not, I will take a deep breath, take one thing at a time, and keep working.
I start next week. With my schedule change, I will have three classes on Mondays (8, 9, and 10) and two the rest of the week (9 and 10). I will still be finished by 10:50 every day, and be able to get the lunch meal with no problem.
It's only Tuesday, and I've had a long week already. lol I think I'm going to go take a nap!
