I received an email today. It was sent to me to encourage me to not let people get me down, and to show me some support. I am so glad she sent it. Her advice is so logical and smart. Thank you, LaFreda, for your excellent point of view.
I think the reason why we as people's get so angry sometimes is because we take our enemiess actions and hurtful words against us so personally. I think this reaction is normal and could actually be healthy in some instances. When we allow the circumstances or situations to eat away at us mentally and emotionally, we are drained by it. It is time for us to regroup and focus on taking care of ourselves when this happens. Realistically it is not our business what other people think about us, especially when the person does not mean us any good at all. This is a battle like you said, it isn't a losing battle, but a battle still the same. When we lend our long term emotions and mental space to this kind of behavior it only harms us in the end. It robs us of living the life with our families the way we see fit or would like. The enemies win, but no enemy can win unless we give them that power to win. When both parties win it is because of mutual respect. If one side or the other wins because of ulterior motives this isn't winning at all....it is SICK!!!!!! It is sick thinking and evil motives that initiate hurtful situations. Insecurities also play a big role. It isn't our problem to take the hurt on. Transferring hate or discontent is done when a person does not love themselves or have content within themselves. Don't let it penetrate your mind or your soul. That is just my two little cents.....man, I hate drama!!!!
