Some people

Day 1 of vacation:
I have no idea how I got through school, but I did. First class was fine. Second class was math, in which I didn't do very well on my test. I definitely didn't get the 90%+ that I was hoping for. I'll work on the make up test next week. English was good. Spent the hour in the writing lab. There was a girl in there with a really cute puppy. Yes, I said a puppy in the writing lab. I used the time to check us into our flights and print the boarding passes.
We left for the airport on time, but got stopped by traffic. We didn't have time stop and get my ring cleaned (sadness), but had no trouble getting to our flights. My first flight was short and smooth. No big events. The second one, however, was more exciting. Before we took off, they said we would be about ten minutes late leaving, but thirty minutes late getting there. (How does that add up?) This girl had just sat down before the announcement was made. She had pulled out her mirror and make up bag. When she heard the announcement, she went all Paris Hilton. "What?! Nine-fourty?! Did she say nine-fourty?! That's just not gonna work for me!" as she stomps up there to the desk. All I could do was laugh. The guy next to me says- out loud- "Somebody's got a stick someone. I think she could use a colon cleanse." Yeah, I laughed even harder. And I don't even think The Princess knew how hard we were busting up behind her. When I got on the plane, where else would The Princess be sitting, but in first class. Luckily for me, she didn't notice me still laughing.
We got in about nine-ten, which was only five minutes behind schedule. Hubby had gotten in about thirty minutes before me, so he already had the bags and was with my mom. As I came down the escalator, I saw my sis. Yay! Happy reunion! My sister and I had our moments when we were kids, but sure get along better now. We talk about every day on messenger, but it was really nice to see her in person. And then my mom, my other sister, and Andy and Dave.
We grabbed some dinner, dropped Beka & Andy and Mom & Dave off at their hotel, then Kristine, Hubby and I went to our hotel. The hotel was a little old, but it was (mostly) clean and the bed was soft. You'd think we would have fallen asleep pretty quick, but no. We stayed up talking and laughing and giggling and joking and just plain catching up. I haven't laughed that hard for a long time.
Ahhhhh, this is what vacation is all about.
