. . . And I am nervous. Let's hope it is all in my head. Let's hope it's not what I think. Let's hope I am just paranoid. Let's hope.
Earlier today, my under arm was hurting. I disregarded it because, well, what can honestly go wrong with your underarm?
When I got into the shower and the water hit it, I remembered the pain. It hurt. I did what any woman would do. I put my hand up there to feel around while I tried to look at it. That's when I found a lump in my underarm. It is bigger than a nickel, I would say more about the size of a quarter. At first, I just thought it was strange. But then I remembered, when my mom was pregnant with my little sister, she had to have some stick a pin in her underarm to empty out a milk gland that had filled with milk. That means mammary glands. And that means. . . I could feel the panic rising in my throat.

If you have had this happen, please email me. Not only could I use someone to talk to about it, I have some questions. Questions that can't be answered by searching the net.

Hope it's nothing...
My pray for you...
I am sorry to hear this! Stay Strong! *HUGS*
I haven't had *this* happen, but I've found lumpiness before, I was sent for a sonogram and all was well. I remember the tech telling me that you just *know* when it's bad. Chances are your gut that it needs to be checked out, but it's not ... that ... are correct (but still get it checked out).
(All that said, I had changed deodorants a year or so ago and I had a little lump in my armpit too - got rid of that deodorant and it resolved itself.)
Thanks for your comments, concerns, and prayers. At this point, we are still keeping a close eye on it. I am still hoping it is nothing.
As far as your underarm, I've had lumps there before that have needed to be drained. I've never been pregnant, so as far as I know it wasn't a milk gland or anything like that.
On the other side, you may not know but last December I had a tumor removed from my right breast. We found it in October and I had to wait until December to have it removed and find out whether or not it was benign. So I know the concern you're feeling--I knew it for two long months. I wish you luck, and I can only say if you're really concerned, I'd have it looked at. Until you know something, you're just going to stress over it. Not knowing is just way too hard.
Thanks Jade. It is still shrinking, and I'm still watching it. It is going away fast enough, now, that I think it may be nothing. Well, nothing serious anyway, because it sure was- and still is some- painful.
Hi, I've had this before too and it has always gone away on its own. You can actually feel the lump and it's quite painful. I think it may actually be like and infected sweat gland or something. Hope yours clears up soon and isn't anything more serious.
Hope its not serious - take care, warm regards.
Thanks for your support. The lump is almost gone now, and I am relieved. You guys are great friends <3
