Hotels Combined is doing a huge charity donation project. And there's a ton you can do to help! Check out Spread the Word for Charity.

You can blog about it, become a facebook fan, and tweet it. Totally easy. And all of that will get you $30 to the charity of your choice. No money out of your pocket, but you are still helping!

I've done all three and chosen the Make A Wish foundation to receive my donation.

My Boss is at the Whitehouse

See where I circled? That's my boss and his wife, the owner of the company I work for, who's office I am right next to. They were invited to the Whitehouse for this speech because of all the work Mrs Boss does with Emergency Preparedness. I knew I loved my company and my bosses, but this makes the world (at least, our country) just a little bit smaller. And makes my heart swell with pride :D

Lizz from Callia's Pixels made the layout for me. She worked with me helping me with and proofing my codes, taught me how to make tables in FrontPage, giving me feedback on which widgets to keep and which to get rid of, where to put them, and spent literally ALL DAY working with me on it.

So what you do you all think? I couldn't love rubber duckies more than I do right now. I am so excited! I have been wanting a blog make-over for a while, and this did the trick. The layout is adorable, the widgets are more organized, and all the codes work just the way I want them to. I'm in love!

The Excellent Award

Can I say, I love Katie?! I met her through a Google search looking for a certain type of blog. I found a blog that matched my search, and through that blog, I met Katie. I loved reading her blog from the moment I started. It has since then been removed from the public eye, and I am honored to be one of the few participants of it. Katie is a wife, step-mom, flight attendant, LDS woman, and a wonderful friend.

This is what she said about me:
My MiniMarie, of course! She is an angel in my world. She keeps me grounded and reminds what we are all working towards, in a spiritual way.

So, in the good faith that Katie has bestowed upon me, and the excited of rewarding some of my favorite bloggers as well, I would like to pass this award on to three people.

1. A Pile of Dawg Bones- There's just not a lot I can say that would top his writing. He is just plain good. Blogs were invented for writers like him.

2. Boobs, Injuries, and Dr Pepper- I used to say I would laugh my butt off every time I read her blog. But she has moved me and motivated me in ways I never thought a blogger could. She may be hilarious at times, but she is out there for the better good of those that deserve it, and everyone else can take a flying leap.

3. A New Beginning- For what she has endured and her strength through it all. She is just simply amazing. She inspires me to be better person.

4. One Scrappy Mom- She has been an amazing friend to me. She is always emailing me, calling me, and giving me support. Her blog is filled with some of the cutest digi scrapping must-haves I have ever seen, and she gives tons of them away for free. She is bright, creative, sweet, smart, and so down to earth.

I am subscribed to A Pile of Dawg Bones, written by NYC Watchdog. It comes to my email, and I have been a faithful reader for several months. I absolutely love the pictures Dawg comes up with for his Sunday Smogashboard. I think this week's picture is my favorite so far. I'm sorry I haven't written. My world doesn't revolve around my blog anymore. lol I'm glad to say that, but I miss you guys. Even my new friend (you know who you are)! For those of you that have requested to be part of my protected blog, I have a few more posts in that one letting you know what is going on with us. All of our BIG news! For those of you that aren't, you can either request to be part of the protected one, or you can wait for the news to be announced here.
