I have FINALLY finished the FAFSA form for financial aide for school. It cost me $79 to submit the app, and I was a little irritated about it. BUT I have changed my opinion! After spending hours working on that stupid thing, this is the conversation I just had with Hubby about it. Noticing the time stamps on this conversation.
[15:16] *Marie*: Wow, that was complicated
[15:16] *Marie*: I just now finished the FAFSA online
[15:16] : They just called me
[15:17] : They will be calling you on your cell
[15:22] *Marie*: Holy Crap I can't believe they called THAT FAST!
[15:22] *Marie*: I had *barely* hit the send button!
[15:22] *Marie*: They called me before you had typed "They just called me"
[15:22] : lol
[15:22] : nice
[15:22] : I gave them your number
[15:23] *Marie*: I had my number on the application, but I listed yours as a back up.
[15:23] *Marie*: We talked about the app, and she said (after we corrected some stuff) that it looked good, and I should receive a confirmation email within 15 minutes
[15:23] *Marie*: I need to print it, sign it, and send it back.
[15:23] *Marie*: Once they receive my signature, then they will submit the info to the college.
[15:24] *Marie*: I can't believe they work that fast!!!
[15:24] : Cool
[15:24] *Marie*: So tonight I may need your help getting the printer set up so I can print this page.
[15:24] : k
[15:25] : Just plug it in and print ^^
[15:25] *Marie*: lol and here's the confirmation email
[15:25] *Marie*: That $79 bucks was more than worth it!
So LESS THAN 10 minutes. I had barely had a chance to sit back and breathe a sigh of relief that it was over, before Nancy (from financial aide) was calling me saying it had been received, looked good, what the next step was, and how long it would take. Needless to say, I am impressed!
(My record of what has been done and still needs doing.)

What did you have to pay $79 for?
I had to pay the $79 to submit it online with the easy form. I could have done it for free by paper, or I could have done a really long online form that would NOT have been reviewed and would have simply been processed by a score for free. But I having it reviewed by a person before it was submitted and then having it decided on by a person was enough for me to feel the money was worth it. And then when they called me so fast, it just sealed the deal.
