Day 2 of vacation:
Woke up slowly, and jumped on the beds. Why not have a little fun? Hubby, Kristine and I decided to make the one mile drive to the Mexico border, just to see what it was like.
Me, being the tourist that I love to be, had my camera ready and waiting for pic opportunities. I took a few, and then quickly hid my camera as we were stopped by border patrol. He yelled at me saying pictures weren't allowed and something about homeland security. (23 people just jumped that fence over there, and you think my camera is a threat?) So we turned our legal little car around and made our way back to the California side of things.
At mom's hotel, we hauled our bags up three flights (!!!) of stairs and into our new room. Back down the three flights of stairs to grab breakfast, and up the elevator back to the room. Start breakfast, grab vitamins, and again the conversation about me being on pre-natals. "No Mom, I'm not pregnant, we are simply preparing. No, we aren't trying yet, like I said, we are simply preparing. Yes Mom, I know you are excited. Yes we are, too. No, I'm not hiding anything, we *really* are not pregnant, yet. Mom, why don't you have a muffin?" (BTW, for those of you that don't like horse pills, you can try this for your progesterone.)
After breakfast, Mom and Dave left for Seaworld, and the rest of us relaxed in the hotel. When they got back, the boys (Dave, Hubby, and Andy) went to the Bay to go exploring. Kristine, Rebeka, and I went to Del Taco. They couldn't get our orders right for anything, but we were so happy to just be at Del Taco, we didn't really care. Anyway, the boys picked up Grandma Casey (still as beautiful and elegant as ever) and everybody met back at the hotel.
Off to dinner at an awesome little Italian place. Can't tell ya the name of it for anything, but the food was wonderful. It was Mom and Dave's first anniversary, so we made special mention of that. (Congrats!) Back at the hotel, Grandma went to bed (she woke up at 4am that morning EST and it was almost 10pm PST, yeah, she was tired) and the rest of us hit the pool. We played around with the camera for a while, and slowly we all trickled off to bed.

So glad you enjoyed San Diego! Sounds like a fun trip. I've never been down to the border. Your description makes me that much less likely to try....
