I'm Being Pulled In

And not against my will.

As a little girl, I read all the time. Books were my friends. I didn't have many others, but even when I did, people couldn't compete with my books.

I am there again. Very few books have taken me to that level as an adult. I have several authors I never say no to (Dean Koontz, John Grisham, Dan Brown), but I have a hard time as an adult finding myself able to lose myself so deeply in a book as I did as a child.

Until Twilight. Stephanie Meyer is an amazing and brilliant writing.

How can a high school drama, fantasy story, completely not my style grab my attention so intensely?

It's like the story has pulled me in and formed another world inside my head. Another life completely parallel to and separate. But I am her; I am Bella. I feel her emotions, see through her eyes, have her thoughts, feel the cold of Edward's skin on my skin.

I started the first book this morning just before work. I have about six good hours of reading so far. I am more than 200 pages in the book.

I am 100% involved in the story.

I just finished the first book today - I started it last night and have read constantly since then. I'm with you - I AM bella. It's a story that makes you feel like you are there, you are her. I can't wait to read the second one!

It's amazing. The more I read, the more I want. It's going to be hard waiting for the fourth one to come out- as if I have any choice BUT to wait.
